Esther O'Callaghan OBE, Co-Founder

Esther is also the Founder of The OPERA Global Youth Foundation.

Esther’s work in the third sector spans 18 years and includes : Corporate Partnerships with a focus on employ-ability for vendors at Big Issue in the North, multiple Trustee, NED and Chair positions including the largest UK Community Foundation; Forever Manchester.  She was the youngest Board member appointed by the Secretary of State to the Big Lottery Fund and chaired the Young People's Fund (£200m) for youth projects across the UK.

The first female DJ to own an independent specialist record store, she used event proceeds to run a small foundation in Manchester that delivered the first AQA accredited music workshop enabling 2,500 14-16 year old's to reengage in education, training and employment.

Esther was Clarins ‘Most Dynamic Woman of the Year’ and received an OBE for services to the voluntary sector, age 26.


Piers Collins, Co-Founder

Piers is focused on product design and delivery for the THRIVE in Work programmes. Working to coordinate multiple stakeholders and produce the most effective system to help young people into an industry that is right for them. 

Prior to THRIVEin, Piers was a founder member of the Dartmouth Partners Group where spent nearly 8 years building an award winning recruitment business working on behalf some of the country’s top financial institutions and law firms.
